The first time I read that two-liner, I just breezed by with a “HUH?” and went to see how many of us had commented after your downer of a blog-day. Glad you had 37 of us trying to lift your spirits. I then decided to go back and try to read today’s msg. “u wuz gud ain phuknee.” I especially liked the lioness with PMS! Good luck with my response (it’s harder to do than it looks). Have a great day/night from Seattle, Washington, USA

For the life of me, I can’t figure how people can constantly write in LOLspeak on that website. Even all the comments are in LOLspeak! Great picture though, definitely an interesting change of pace for your website!

Carol - Thanks - and same to you! Still trying to figure out your response, tho’!

Eric - LOLspeak rulz!

I’m right there with ya ! Know exactly how you feel! To top it off it’s hot and humid in Chicagoland. The power has been off for a few days because a tornado blew through the southern area and left us without power. Sending you big (((hugs)))!

Keera 08.08.08 at 6:18 am

Heh. I just sent that lolcat to a friend who was, er, miserable. :-)

You leave the keyboard five minutes to Ragnheiður (thank you CopyPaste Lord) and look what happens ;)

Cama - No power?? You must have a pretty good batter on your ‘puter, then — and spending it all on me! OK, I promise I’ll never complain again.

Keera -Guaranteed to produce a smile. :)

Philippe - Huh????

I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog but don’t have anything relevant to respond about. I read your blog every few days simply because I love all things Scandinavian and particularly Icelandic and you are the first contact I have had with a real person in Iceland even if it is in this form. Please know that even if responses are not forthcoming your lovely pictures and pithy comments are appreciated.

I read your blog from Kansas, in the middle of the US, and I don’t really know why, or even remember how I found you. There is just something about your words and your photography that keep me coming back. I never comment, and rearely read others’ comments, unless you reference them in the blog. Sort of like a newspaper column…… But, I am out here, reading and smiling.

Myrna, deanna - how very nice to make your acquaintance. And thank you for introducing yourselves - as I said before, it’s great to have some idea of who the people are behind the stats.

The power is back on, it’s a cool 80F here today! I charged my computer in the car and went to your blog when my internet would let me through during the power outage. I feel like you are a friend and you were feeling down, I don’t like to see my friends feeling bad! My DH is also an avid reader of your blog. We love our photography and what you write about. have to run and clean up the house, shower and enjoy the modern convience of electricty!!!

Cama 08.08.08 at 5:50 pm

Virginia 08.08.08 at 8:17 pm

I’m leaving a shivery, tearful comment, in grave terror of your ferociousness.

;-)

CarolQ 08.08.08 at 11:27 pm

HaHa - Pretty bad. I said ‘you were good and funny.’ Don’t stay awake trying to understand my gibberish. Remewmber, I said it was hard to do what you did. It’s also pretty hard blogging as so few people use proper wording or spelling. Your blog is a delight to read. I really think Icelanders should comment in here so we can see the language and maybe you could translate? Maybe? Please, if they do comment? Thanks.

Ranger 08.08.08 at 11:49 pm

I can haz cheer up? U can haz shaar? Saw doz li-uns N lol-BIG-cat.

alda 08.09.08 at 6:47 pm

Cama - thanks for the kind words. I’m flattered that you go to such lengths to read!

Cat - wuddid he sai?

Virginia - that’s more like it! ;)

Carol - Thank you! Not sure about the translating though … not sure I’d feel comfortable translating a comment by someone without their permission, and getting permission to translate comments … a bit too time consuming and complicated. Surely there must be a better way if you want to see Icelandic translated!

Ranger - now THAT requires a translator! :)

Bluegrass Mama 08.09.08 at 9:11 pm

He lol’d, uv coures!

Ranger 08.09.08 at 9:24 pm

Free Translation, LOLspeak to English: You cheered me up. Can you share in the cheerfulness? I saw those lions and laughed out loud at the BIG cats.

Dis ene betr?
