God Almighty, creator [of heaven and Earth, among other things], yesterday commented briefly on the Icesave matter and Iceland’s position.
He said it was insufferable how the big foreign bullies were using this opportunity to abuse a poor little innocent underdog nation, all because they were bigger and more greatly evolved spiritually. He moreover said he was considering sinking both Great Britain and The Netherlands into the sea as punishment – and in fact that he was well on his way to doing the latter.
However, he did not wish to retract his previous statement that he would turn all Icelanders into pillars of salt if they did not meet their international obligations without prevarication.
“Maybe I’ll just do both. I can do anything I want.”

Hm, that was a whoosh over my head, probably because I wouldn’t know Björgólfsson if he came up and chewed on me.
Is there an insider joke here, or is the point just that everybody claims God’s on his/her side?

God just wants to cover up his own involvement, and that he profitted mightily from this crime. Look around, suddenly his popularity is up again, people are praying everywhere! And his fingerpointing now is extremely hypocritical, considering his well known prior statements that he is omnipotent, sees everything, and will mercilessly come down on wrongdoers. Obviously, he deliberately ignored the criminal activity going on, and this makes him an accomplice. Lets prosecute the self serving spindoctor, and confiscate all his assets to compensate the victims! I heard he hides an extremely valuable treasure chest, misleadingly called “ark”, somewhere…
