What’s the “morning-after-feeling” like? Apprehension? Elation? Gloom? Party time?
“No change, really. The referendum was kind of pointless because the deal that was being voted on was already obsolete. If anything, it’s a slight sense of apprehension as to what might happen with the government as a result.”
Eamonn was also keen to find out the finer details of cooking and serving whale, and of course I was happy to oblige.

I don’t believe Oslo is interested. They have said as much.
Did you perhaps want to say, “Do you know what happened the last time we struck a deal with Norway? You try not being a country and living under Danish rule for seven centuries.”
I would have expected a last question – Could you recommend a restaurant, serving whale in Reykjavik for those visitors, who don’t have cooking facilities at hand?

Yes indeed, I have always been curious about it.
I think, I saw whale-steak being offered at a restaurant on Lagavegur some time ago, but I wasn’t sure about this just being a tourist trap.

The most famous whale-serving restaurant is no doubt Þrír frakkar: http://www.3frakkar.com. However, Sægreifinn, down at the harbour (run by an old fisherman – quite the character) also does whale kebabs. The Sægreifi (Sea Baron) will even grill it for you himself outside in the summer. http://www.saegreifinn.is
Joerg, you’re probably talking about Hereford Steak House, and yes they do serve whale. Never tried it there, though.
When we had Greenpeace ships sailing around the whaling boats, I think it was 3 frakkar that advertised Whale meat with green peas…
