This just in from the Baggalútur news service:
Apparently a wheelchair ramp in a wing intended for ridiculously intelligent physicists in Heaven was not constructed due to an unfortunate bout of forgetfulness.
Consequently the physicist and ueber-cutiepie Stephen Hawking has no access to the next level of existence.
According to a spokesman for God Almighty, the creator, this is in no way linked to Hawkings’ remarks that there is no room for God in theories relating to the creation of the world.

Trust there was – a few blogs back – a problem with a spokesman alias spokeswoman and now again with a spokesman!? Seems to be a rather dum species but I wouldn’t worry as Hawkins knows and understands gravity in and out.

Maybe God needed proof that Stephen Hawking exists.
Ha Ha Ho Ho Ho, maybe the universe itself is God and is a giant hologram that does not really exist ,is this a particle or a wave or just a comment on Alda’s blog,does Alda really exist like we do or is she just a well crafted computer program with Icelandic nationality.

I don’t get it either. Is it making fun of Hawking or making fun of religious people for getting upset at Hawking’s remarks?

@Michael Lewis, deep very deep, all things bright and beautiful,all creatures great and small the lord god made them all, he made Stephen Hawking with an IQ of 170+ and me with, well we wont go into that.
Didn’t see many ramps in Europe, thought it was an American thing. Guess Steven can just pretend he’s visiting Paris.

@joeinvegas yes if I was in a wheelchair I don’t know how I would get on most places are just no go areas, you see the odd giant disabled toilet but that’s about it.

Alexander and Sue – the joke’s definitely on the uber christians, not Hawking. Baggalútur’s a flippant sarcastic joke page, pretty often hilarious.
Well if there is room or no room or what have you in heaven for Stephan Hawking…this remains to be seen.
I would add for laughs that science effects faith in only a small degree. These are two separate subjects. What Hawking has said about creation is not new, lots of people have thought that the universe would just happen, as it was bound to.
If this is against religion I do not see it….. as it leads back to the same place and that is unknowable…(I think).
….it says nothing either way, so god bless Stephan Hawking whatever that means.
