Apartment for rent!

If anyone is looking for a short-term rental in a PRIME location in downtown Reykjavík, I happen to know of a great little studio apartment that is available from 4 March to 1 June this year. [There is a wee bit of flexibility possible with those dates.]

It’s 39 square metres, has a little kitchenette and study space, balcony and bathroom with shower, plus a common laundry room. Price, all-inclusive [utilities plus Internet] is ISK 54,000 per month. [It’s a bargain, believe me.]

Interested? Please get in touch.

That is pretty cheap, about 420 USD.

A quick look (in the wrong place, no doubt) had the cheapest studio as ISK 250k per month. So this really is a bargain.

Bromley – that must have been the wrong place. ISK 250K per month is totally excessive.

175 GBP for a month, all-in, even including flights , that would make for a cheaper holiday than staying here in the UK. If it were mid-late July, I’d be interested (prime of the trout fishing season in Iceland)

Thanks for sharing this! I hope someone has the opportunity to enjoy a longer stay in Iceland with this rental.

For me that price would seem fair (not cheap). It’s not even 40 sq meters! I’m belgian, and I believe we are used to living big (especially compared to the dutch, who live in hen-houses). Depends probably of the total amount of extra’s that are going to be charged.

Oh, to be free enough to take off for three months in Iceland!

«a little kitchenette and study space, balcony and bathroom with shower» – but no bedroom? :))))
OK, will keep in mind. And I guess one of the readers here was looking for such place.

£67 per week inclusive is a bargain. Short-term studio rental in London’s West End is 3 to 5 times that, excluding utilities.

I am sure, this is a bargain. If it wasn’t for my mean employer refusing me to take leave for this long period, I would be on my way to book a flight. So, I’ll have to wait until July to visit Reykjavik again.

Marc – all inclusive it says, that means water (hot and cold whick means heating too), electricity and internet. Shouldn’t be any extras.

And sure is a bargain for downtown.

Marc, 40 sq meters is not considered big here in Iceland either but wasn´t the price quoted all-inclusive (including internet)?
I am not sure if there would be any extras to be charged.

Hmmm had I known about this earlier, I would have rented immediately; the price is great, and the source recommending it more than reliable! Prices right now are around 80K for smaller guesthouse apartments; long term rents for similarly sized apartments in central Reykjavik are in the 85K ISK – 110K ISK in these days.

By the way Alda, we are now hunting for a long term rent apartment, so if you happen to have some more friend renting in central Reykjavik, keep us updated! Haha!
