Final stretch for the Future of Hope

Know what I love? A success story!

Remember the people who are trying to finish that film called Future of Hope, which shows Iceland’s predicament in a positive light?

They launched their project on Kickstarter [what an ingenious website and idea that is!] a couple of months ago, with the goal of raising USD 10,000 to complete their film.

They are now up to USD 9,810 and have eight days to go.

And because the one thing I love more than a success story is people who can surpass the tyranny of industry and make their dreams come true, I would LOVE to see them reach their goal.

So if you can spare a bob or two, head on over to Kickstarter and make your pledge!

[PS – our new Facebook page now has 473 fans — let’s get them up to 1,000!]

I just checked it out and saw “165 Backers; $10,000 pledged of $10,000 goal”, so guess the final stretch is over…

Yeah, they’re now officially over their goal… $10,080 when I last checked. This is a really inspiring project and proof that this website works. What great ideas.

Thanks for the the link! Kickstarter gives you the idea that this world could be such a great place if people could cooperate. And I think it is great that even weird projects have a chance to get funded. I have been working for years in the gaming industry, which used to be controlled by a bunch of big publishers – and it sure would have helped, at times, to have a resource like this.

I have been following this for a while. Thanks for the link – and I am eagerly waiting for the film now.
